Today is not the day to answer "scholar', I will do that another day, if I get the time, for my time is limited for more important things - today is not the day for "naysayers",I have to use it wisely, "today is the day for heroes and true leaders"!
So in this regard, and like Captain, today is a day to congratulate Anand Ramlogan for taking up the fight of the weak, the burdened, the sick and the helpless, and despite the minor setback, you should walk with your head held high, for you have tried, and thats what is important, you tried under the most difficult and adverse conditions. But then that only serves to make you a stronger person than you have already shown.!
Bravo! Good job, well done!
This is not the "end" but the "beginning of the long journey", there's lots more to do yet, and the job is not finished, at least thats my viewpoint. And while the "end" is always important, remember it is the journey of getting there that is even more important!
To have done what you and the COP did for such a "young party" entering politics for the very first time, and to get >100,000 supporters to buy in on your dreams & vision and roadmap towards a better country, nation and people, all for the future, is an enormous task do accomplish in such a short period of time.!
So take comfort yet, as the journey is a long one, and the task daunting, but as I said before, "good always prevail over evil, and light over darkness", and you and COP have now lifted the veils from the eyes of the people, and shone the light in the right direction for them to follow, and now they can see, and will see what the future can be, if they follow that dream as you showed them this time around.!
Another day will dawn, and there are still many good fights left in you yet, and now you have the time for the next five years to better prepare yourself and COP to take on the good fight and win!
Keep up the good work in the meantime, and walk tall and proud with your head held high.! You have done well!

As with G and Captain, I too share the disappointment and frustration that our people again fell for "the ole line" of the spin doctors, and put back a government in office again for another five years, despite their poor and abominable record of fiscal mismanagement, corruption and escalating crime to name a few !
...and today, all of the too many and numerous problems faced by the "nation" remains the same, as a monument and testimony of yet more to come in the future.
...but life is filled with choices, and they have made their choice, they have made their beds, and now they must lie on it...! I too don't have to agree with it, but I will have to accept it..! like it or not!
...for those that whine and complain down the road, like Captain mentioned, there is no room for mercy or compassion....for the great question is...what did you do in the last election and why?
...cause if the answer is nothing...then they must now live with it, nothing that is!
..a golden opportunity lost for good, one that went by just like a "puff of wind"!

Well done Captain, so reflective and true of our current struggle in TnT today, the good "Ole Wild West" all over again, just seem that history has a way of repeating itself over and over again!.
This is truly an accurate depiction of our "daily fight", and the "real players", well put together, kudos!
On the one hand, we have the "bad guy" hanging on to "his fistful of our dollars", and won't let go, then on the other hand we have "the ugly", trying his darndest to get his hands again on a "few dollars more", and again of our money, and then "the good guy" stuck in the middle between us and them trying his level best to keep all that from happening.!
Can't wait for the stroke of "high noon" when the good guy wins and walks away towards the sunset and "the Bad and the Ugly" gets "thrown in the "hoosegow" for a long rest at the taxpayers expense, free meals and all.!
At least that's how I hope the story ends, for the sake of peace and well being to my friends and relatives and my people and my country, and to the "nation as a whole"!
They say "good always conquer evil" and "light over darkness"!
But hold your horses, its almost high noon, stay clear of the streets my friends,I just can't wait for the ending!

Well on this occasion good did not conquer evil, nor did did light win over darkness.
Instead human greed and selfishness were instrumental in a victory. A party that demonstrated no calibre beyond that for bobol, discrimination, high-handedness and spin-doctoring won an election.
Unlike G, I will not be keeping a low threshold for those who hold their heads and bawl in pain. I will be keeping no threshold. If they bawl in front of me, I will ask them one question, "Did you vote or support PNM or UNC in the 2007 elections?" If dey answer yes, I will be helping them to hold their heads - but only to ensure that the front of my boot is aimed so as to knock out their teeth or part of their faces.
You and your 40 friends should hang your heads in shame this morning.
You and all these people on this forum felt you were smarter, more intelligent than the average man. All that was proven is what a bunch of uneducated people you all are. Everyone was telling you that cannot win a SINGLE seat yet you all persevered with false advertising and outright lies, maligning the charater of good people along the way in order to fool and keep loyal even greater and more stupid people like Captain, TOO, swingvote etc. They should be even more ashamed to have fallen for your partys propaganda.
Even the poor man with no O levels in this country had more common sense to read between the lines but not u so called educated people.
0 seats, how can u all be such fools!
Today all of Trinidad and Tobago should be thankful to the people who voted for UNCA - had we fallen for the garbage and lies foisted on the population by the COP, PNM would have a constitutional majority this morning and a dictatorship would have been guaranteed.
Every single person in this country PNM included except the P----- who voted for the COP knew UNC will always win their base seats forever and same for the PNM yet the COP had to fool the foolable people. Thank GOD there were people with more intelligence than COP people to make a difference.
Nevertheless, ANAND RAMLOGAN , everytime someone is Kidnapped, robbed , muredred in the next 5 years yiu will feel the full brunt of that in your conscience assuming you have one.
Whilst all of you eat the best foods you will never rest in peace because there will be thousands of poor people in this country who cannot afford groceries.
The poor African people of this country will never forgive you all for not FORCIBLY freeing them form the slavery of the PNM becuase they do not have the willpower to do it for themsleves.
All these sins fall at the feet of the COP!!!
I have no more to say, you may continue to write and feed each others ego on this forum and make all the excuses for the fault not being the COP.
Today I am tempted to CURSE all of you to say may the wrath of the GODS fall upon every supporter of the COP but more so on the Executive who mislead thousands of people with lies. To further say May all of you never have a good nights sleep and may your peace forever be disturbed but I will leave it to the crime victims and the poor mothers and poor enslaved africans to do this for me, numerous times per day for the next 5 years.
you will forever live in bondage and die a miserable death in the PNM. you are worth being called a trinidadian. your brain is filled with filth of the bondage the PNM has instilled in your head and the sad thing is, all your children and grandchildren and future generation to come will be born nasty like you, hence you all will get no where in life, just remain in BONDAGE. i would like to hear from you next couple of years when the PNM runs you and your family into the ground. you are nothing but a worthless puppet for the PNM. it will hurt all of TT, but what will you do when the cries of your family go unheard by your racist beloved PNM when they are murdered, raped, mauled to death?? what will you do????

Anand and those like him will forever walk proud, secure in the knowledge that they did all that was honourable.
Some of us might feel shame but not for ourselves - instead for a very duncey population - and to be categorised as Trinidadian; a Nationality now associated with political dunciness; after a people abused chose to elect for more abuse!
But of course the scholars of this world can demonstrate no shame - blindly following in the footsteps of political masters such as Basdeo Panday and Ramesh Maharaj. The blind will never feel shame following the blind.
As I said before scholar you seem to lack self-awareness so you are without shame. Your inane rantings in the light of some kind of UNC victory may keep you proud now.
Your children and their children will spit on your grave/or ashses or whatever - daize eef by some stroke of luck dey any brighter dan you to understand the crap you are personally responsible for, when extreme ketch ass take dem under a PNM leadership and a weak intellectually vacant opposition
Well..... to my great disappointment, the people of my islands of paradise have once again voted for a party that (in my opinion - and i could be wrong mind you) favours racism, religious bigotry, dependency syndromes, public service inefficiency, fiscal inappropriateness, political victimization, and threats to democracy.
If the public wants Manning to control $200 Billion dollars over the next 5 years, then so be it.
If they want to drive down that road, then so be it. My conscience is clear. In the next 5 or 10 years when people are holding their heads and bawling, my threshold will be quite low, and I will remind people of today and how we could have shifted the politics of the nation and perhaps changed the direction that the country is heading in.
RIP my island.
And to my friends who have suffered over the last few years, including the murdered, I shake my head silently, for I know not what to say.
