There is definite and clear case to be made that would assert under the Panday administration it became acceptable to conceive of closure of Caroni Limited. The field sugar workers and the cane farmers who struggled under all kinds of conditions to ensure a viable sugar cane harvest, were defeated by the economics of sugar production. However when Mr. Panday was in government it would seem that saving the sugar cane industry was not made a critical priority. For a person to claim he struggled to make living conditions better for these group of workers, their industry should have been one of his top three priorities. But the privileges of power (remember those golf games with the parasitic oligarchy), took over his priorities. But scholar would say, it eh he fault, is Assam's. Hmmmmm, wonder who set the priorities in his government? Probably just like in the home, the wife look after the bank account, in the government, is the Minister who set the government priority? Panday never do anything, so he cannot be blamed, right scholar? Remember scholar, at these times Panday was somewhere less doing something else. Is the fellas he lef in charge in his abscence who do it. wink

He has actually challenged Panday and Ramesh to a public debate. Anybody see it happen yet? Scholar, muz be convince Smith and Jones dat i's a wais ah time.

It would appear that the PNM administration did in fact lower Caroni's coffin into the ground, and that the UNC was the one to put the dagger in. Oh buh, there I go again: ah forgettin' how Trickidadians have foggy memories or no memories for real events and of what they remember it becomes distorted rather easily by present day rhetoric.
...Sometimes they say that "silence is acknowledgement" of the truth!.
... otherwise we would expect Panday to take up the "challenge" to debate and refute the issue and put it to rest, rather than just going about telling the people it is a "lie"!
... but then here it is in black and white print, doubt it nah? The records speak for itself.
...then they also have a saying that some people " like to make everyone else look bad in order to make themself look good"!.
...this man is a genius at it, and now he have the gall to go about telling stories, and misleading his "own" people all the time, when he has been the "one man army" in destroying and disrupting the lives of so many cane farmers and sugar workers and their families single handedly, all by himself!.
... and now come telling the people "ah coming to save yuh", just hold strain, just put me back in power one more time and see how I go save all yuh, nah!. "Red Beret" and all!
... but you put them there Bas, "down in the hole", "down in the gutter", "out of work", "unemployed", your own people boy?

...and now you talking about getting them all "Unemployment Pay", just like, but better than CEPEP and URP.! you have a plan!
...this after you killed off their livelihoods, along with the future of their children and their generations to come, mine included!.
...Panday is all about HIMSELF, for those who don't recognize it, and keep following him around like "lambs to the slaughter" .
...no, he won't come out to debate the statement because he knows its true.!.. If not, come out and prove it nah?
...but like everything else, he hides in the background and watches the "action" out of harms way, and pushes everyone else up front to fight his fight, do the dirty work,
...and watch an wait till its over, then to come in and take credit for the victory, or lay blame on everyone if it fails!. No, he won't change at all.! Thats the "man" all over!.
...take a good look at his pattern and see if its not so, his "Modus Operandi"!
...they should soon call him "the teflon man", because nothing "sticks to him", blame that is.! Only Power itself!
...Some leader, some freedom fighter.?!
...he should be ashamed and take off the "Red Beret" since it is a discredit to the likes of the Revolutionary "Che Guevera" who gave his life for his people, whether we liked him or not.!

...ah eh holdin' meh breath for him nah, ah go dead first oui? for sure! man he sly like a "mongoose" - they like to say "fox" because he likes that, it makes him feel good and smart and powerful just to fill his "swollen and over-grown inflated ego"!
